Metro Grow Open House

Date: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2019

West Fargo residents are invited to join the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Government for an open house to provide input on the types of transportation projects and strategies that should be included in the regional Metropolitan Transportation Plan, called Metro Grow.
Stop in anytime 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the Stone Building (613 1^st Ave. N, Fargo ND) to share your ideas for all modes of travel. The Metro Grow team members want your input and will be available to answer questions in-person.

Downtown Sheyenne Street Urbanization Project

Downtown Sheyenne Street Urbanization Pubilc Input

Deadline: Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019

This street project is a major element in the revitalization of downtown West Fargo and has a goal of creating a vibrant downtown space that encourages walking, events and enhance economic development in the area. The initial proposed design calls for narrowing the existing road width, increasing sidewalk widths, slowing traffic, reducing crossing distance at intersections, easing pedestrian and motorists’ safety concerns and improving lighting.

The proposed project implements elements of the City of West Fargo’s Downtown Framework Study, new comprehensive plan and Downtown Sheyenne Street Corridor Study.This deadline to provide input is Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019. To provide input, review the project materials and then complete a project input form.

Special Assessment Community Feedback

Deadline: Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019

The City of West Fargo has published the presentation and survey utilized at the Community Forums on Special Assessments. The presentation is now available as a video on YouTube with voice over from City Engineer Dustin Scott and City Administrator Tina Fisk. The presentation is also available as a pdf with annotations.
After watching the presentation, residents can take the Special Assessment Community Feedback survey at http://bit.ly/westfargospecialsurvey. The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019.

The results of the community forums and surveys will be compiled and presented to the West Fargo City Commission. An initial report of community forum results was presented at the Jan. 21, 2019, West Fargo City Commission meeting. View the results here.
