[ARCHIVED] West Fargo man arrested following pursuit in West Fargo

Patches

At approximately 11:56 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019, West Fargo Police Department officers observed a silver passenger car traveling north by West Fargo High School at a high rate of speed.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, which then turned eastbound on Main Avenue. A short time later, the vehicle traveled into oncoming lanes to avoid officers. A few blocks later the suspect vehicle got back into the correct lanes and continued into Fargo on Main Avenue.

The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns, but a short time later the suspect vehicle sideswiped five vehicles stopped at a red light at Main Avenue / 36th Street S in Fargo. The vehicle then attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection and struck the back end of a truck and a curb disabling the suspect vehicle.

The driver, Trevor Love (23, West Fargo), then attempted to run away on foot but was captured by officers a short distance away. Love was arrested for fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, hit and run, driving under suspension, fleeing on foot, possession of a concealed weapon, and drug and paraphernalia possession.

This incident is currently under investigation and the West Fargo Police Department will not be providing further comment at this time.
