West Fargo Public Library helps residents get online with new mobile hotspot lending program

The West Fargo Public Library is helping residents connect to the internet at home and on the go with a new mobile Wi-Fi hotspot lending program, WiFi GO. Library cardholders can now check out a hotspot to connect their smartphone, tablet or laptop and get internet access to do homework, apply for jobs, communicate with friends and family or access the library’s eBooks. The WiFi GO lending program is designed to support individuals and families who may not have internet access at home or who need internet access for work or travel.

Hotspots in the WiFi GO collection may be checked out by adult cardholders for a period of three weeks, with the option to renew the hotspot if there are no other requests for the item. Patrons must have had a West Fargo Public Library card for a period of three months and have no fines or overdue materials to check out a hotspot.

In addition to the mobile Wi-Fi hotspots, West Fargo Public Library cardholders may also check out a variety of helpful technology from the library, including iPads, children’s tablets with pre-programmed literacy and STEM activities, digital cameras, infrared thermometers, and kill-a-watt meters. Visit to learn more about technology available for checkout and in-library use.

Patrons may request a hotspot by placing a hold in the library’s online catalog. For more information about the WiFi GO hotspot lending service, contact library staff at 701-551-8940 or
