Discovering Your Roots: Searching your Ancestors' Backyards

Saturday, August 27, 2022

The first course of our "Discovering Your Roots" genealogy course series.

At some point during your detective work, you’ll have to actually visit where your ancestors lived. In this helpful video lecture, discover how to use key local resources you’ll need to rely on for success in your research: cemeteries, records of churches and synagogues, city directories, local libraries, and historical societies.

This event is part of the West Fargo Public Library's series of genealogy courses, all featuring video content from The Great Courses presented by John Phillip Colletta Ph. D., Professor at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research at Samford University.
