The West Fargo Fire Department began at adapt Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or drones into response plans early in 2018. The department operates two drones, which are deployed at major incidents where a birds eye view can be helpful to tailor our safety and tactics to the incident. They're also used extensively in fire investigations. Drones are deployed from Battalion 70, once one of our certified pilots and a spotter arrive on scene.
