Storytime
Ready to Read Storytime
Wednesdays 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Third Tuesday of each month 5:45 - 6:30 p.m.
On Wednesdays (and select Tuesday evenings), kids ages 3 to 5 are invited to read, play and create with us during Ready to Read Storytime. During this storytime hour, children and caregivers participate in activities that reinforce early literacy skills through reading, playing and creating in a safe and encouraging space. Reading, singing, talking, writing, and play are the focal points of these storytimes. These early literacy fundamentals encourage growth in language development, vocabulary, social skills and creativity which helps to foster a positive connection to independent reading and exploration of learning.
*Sessions of Ready to Read Storytime are free and open to the public, however families are encouraged to attend only one Ready to Read Storytime session each week, due to limited space in the Children's corner. Content is the same at both the morning and evening Ready to Read sessions.
Baby Boost Storytime
Fridays 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Baby Boost Storytime encourages connections through language and social interaction. This storytime provides a safe and encouraging space for children ages 2 and under and their caregivers to interact and grow language and social skills through an introduction to books, rhymes, signs, and play. Activities from this storytime help foster an emotional connection between the child and the caregiver which helps to create a positive association with learning and reading.
Teeter Tots Storytime
Thursdays 10:15 - 11 a.m.
New to the West Fargo Public Library, Teeter Tots Storytime is perfect for little ones who may be too young for Ready to Read Storytime but are too advanced for Baby Boost Storytime.
Storytime Kits
Storytime Kits can be checked out for three weeks at a time using a West Fargo Public Library card. Each kit includes a collection of books and a binder of reproducible activity sheets and instructions. Find the kits in the Children's Corner at the library.
