In-Library Pickup

Patrons who intend to visit the library may place holds before visiting and then pick up their items from our designated hold shelf during their visit. PLEASE NOTE: When you pick up materials in the library, they are not yet checked out to you so you much check them out either by visiting the circulation desk or by using our self-checkout machine.

1. Patrons can place holds via My Library Account, over the phone at 701-515-5200, or by emailing askus@westfargond.gov. Patrons are able to choose specific materials to be held or discuss their needs with a librarian for assistance.

2. When the items are ready, patrons will be notified via email or phone depending on their account settings.

3. During their next visit, patrons can then pick up their items from the designated hold shelf in the library. 

4. Patrons must then check out the materials using either the self-checkout or by visiting the service desk.

Curbside Pickup

The West Fargo Public Library offers no-contact curbside material pickup. Patrons can pick up held items including books, audiobooks, DVDs, Book Bundles and music CDs. Below is the procedure for curbside pickup service.

1. Patrons can place holds via My Library Account, over the phone at 701-515-5200, or by emailing askus@westfargond.gov. Patrons are able to choose specific materials to be held or discuss their needs with a librarian for assistance. 

2. When the hold is ready to be picked up, patrons will be notified via email or text message depending on what communication type they chose for their account. 

3. Patrons must then call 701-515-5200 when they have arrived to pick up their materials. 

4. The pickup process will include no physical contact between staff and patrons. A staff person will place the requested items on a table in the entrance of the West Fargo Public Library. Patrons will then grab their items after the staff person has returned inside the building.

Little Red Reading Bus Pickup

This option is only available during the Little Red Reading Bus's summer route from June 1 - Aug. 11, 2021. 

1. Patrons can place holds via My Library Account, over the phone at 701-515-5200, or by emailing askus@westfargond.gov. Patrons are able to choose specific materials to be held or discuss their needs with a librarian for assistance.

2. When placing the hold, be sure to choose "West Fargo Little Red Reading Bus" as the pickup location, or note that you'd like to pick up from the bus when discussing with a staff person.

3. When the items are ready, patrons will be notified via email or phone depending on their account settings. 

4. Patrons can then pick up their items from any Little Red Reading Bus route stop. 

5. Patrons must then check out the materials by speaking with a Little Red Reading Bus staff person.
